On May 11th, the EU Society executives gathered for a lunch meeting with EU Centre director Prof. Sunghoon Park to discuss possible activities for the EU Society in the remaining semester. An idea was raised to motivate members to submit papers for the JEUS publication by having a paper competition. However due to possible conflicts with other paper competitions, the executives decided to offer a small honorarium to the people submitting high-quality papers. The announcement calling for participation in and explaining the procedure of the JEUS publication was shared with the society members. Another idea was giving introductory presentations about Europe by EUS members in Korean primary, middle or high schools to promote education and knowledge about Europe in Korea.
At the follow-up meeting after the lunch, the EUS executives proceeded to check the society’s budget more in detail and send out a survey about activities to the society members. An announcement recruiting the participants for and explaining the procedure of the JEUS publication was shared with the society members.
