On July 7-8th, the European Union Studies Association at Asia Pacific (referred to as the "EUSA-AP") hosted this year's conference in Seoul, Korea. The title of this year’s conference was “Exploring New Solutions to Old Challenges: How to overcome complex disasters in the EU and the world.” Several professors participated in this conference as moderators, presenters, and panelists. First, Prof. Sae Won Chung presented on South Korean Responses to the EU’s Multiple Crisis: Longitudinal Perspective. This study reviewed a range of reports from the governmental and the private think tanks to study South Korea’s responses to EU crises. Prof. Sunghoon Park and Prof. Myungho Park also presented on the 25 years of ASEM and Korea’s strategy. They examined the trends and characteristics of the ASEM enlargement process using sustainable connectivity indicators and governance indicators. Prof. Sunghoon Park with Prof. Pawel Pasierbiak presented on Drivers of (dis)connectivity with a focus on the economic dimension. Through their presentations, this conference was able to conclude with a great success.
