On January 17th, Jean Monnet EU Centre had the fifth workshop for the SPEAC Network Project. As the previous workshops, the seminar proceeded online due to the pandemic. Renowned EU scholars from South Korea, Sweden, Poland, and Germany participated to discuss the future direction of our publications. The publications will address EU-Asia connectivity from different perspectives; geopolitics, sustainability, digital technology, and trade and investment. After a short opening remark, the workshop was divided into three sessions. Session 1 on the conceptual framework was about geopolitics and the implications for the EU’s role in Asia and beyond.
