The Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence receives academic papers on Europe-Asia connectivity for its Junior Research Fellowship Program. Katarzyna Twarowska-Mól (Ph.D candidate at Ruhr-University Bochum) was recognized for the research on “Central banks' digital currency projects in the EU and Asia - cooperation or race in digital transformations”. This paper aims to assess the advancement of work on CBDC and the impact of digital money on economic cooperation between Europe and Asia.
