2017 EU Summer School Applications Available

2017 Summer Programs on EU Studies

The KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre is an education and research institution sponsored by European Commission. Korea University, together with two consortium partners – Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and SBS – launched the Centre in May 2014. The Centre is pleased to introduce three programmes on EU Studies to KU DIS & GSIS students. Both Korean & International students are able to apply for the programme to learn more about EU. *** GSIS students must be in 1-3 semester(s) and they should be currently registered for 2017 Spring semester *** We look forward to your participation.


1. Prague Summer Schools, Czech Republic
· Title of Program: European Politics: Interests vs. Culture?
· Dates: 1-8 July 2017 (1 Week)

· Application Deadline: 30 March 2017

· Programme Fee: €790
· Credit Transfer to KU GSIS: General Elective 2 Credits


2. University of Tübingen, Germany
· Title of Program: International & European Studies-Summer Program II
· Dates: 13 July - 25 August 2017 (6 Weeks)
· Application Deadline: 31 March 2017 extended to 18 April 2017
· Programme Fee: €2,800 €1,000 on a space-available basis
· Application & Programme Details

· Credit Transfer to KU GSIS: General Elective 3 Credits
· Credit Transfer to KU DIS: Must contact the Centre before Application Deadline


3. University of Vienna (Campus in Strobl/St. Wolfgang), Austria
· Title of Program: International and European Studies
· Dates: 15 July - 12 August 2017 (4 Weeks)
· Application Deadline: 30 April 2017
· Programme Fee: €1,800 & additional fee for accommodation

· Credit Transfer to KU GSIS: General Elective 3 Credits
· Credit Transfer to KU DIS: Must contact the Centre before Application Deadline


※ Any questions regarding the programmes above can be sent to the KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre (ku.eucentre@gmail.com, 02-3290-5322).


※ KU DIS/GSIS students are responsible for the followings:
i. applying to the program on your own with required application materials before Application Deadline.
ii. paying programme fee and additional costs (airfare, etc.). Financial support from KU will not be

provided.
iii. submitting the EU Summer School Credit Transfer Application to DIS/GSIS office 1 week before the

programme starts.
iv. successfully passing the programme and submitting the programme certificate to DIS/GSIS office

within 2 weeks upon the programme completion.
