On May 11, the Jean Monnet EU Centre and GPAS-Europe hosted an Ambassadors’ Roundtable titled “European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) and Changing Geopolitics in Europe.” Professor Park Sunghoon moderated the talk between the ambassadors. The distinguished guests were H.E. Maria Castillo-Fernandez, an ambassador of the EU to South Korea, H.E. Otar Berdzenishvili, an ambassador of Georgia to South Korea, H.E. Aris Vigants, an ambassador of Latvia to South Korea and Professor Lee Jae-seung. The panels introduced the European Neighborhood policy and how each of their country experienced or contributed to the development of the policy. The policy to promote economy, rule of law, and ultimately peacebuilding has become more significant. Latvian and Georgian ambassadors shared the experience after the independence from the Soviet Union and the prospect of membership. Professor Lee shared the Korean perspective on the issue. The talk ended after panels answered questions from the floor.
