The EU Society Executives Discuss Spring Semester Activities
After a short break, EU Society executives met for the third time to discuss how to proceed with the society during the remaining semester. The decision about offline meetings was further delayed in accordance with the university’s guidelines. Anticipating that meetings with all the society members might not be possible for a while, other options for activities had to be considered.
As publishing the Journal of EU Society (JEUS) is another important activity of the society, the executives discussed giving motivations to members to submit journal papers. After receiving confirmation, it was decided that the EU Society would offer opportunities of publishing high-quality papers in an academic journal in co-authorship with Prof. Sunghoon Park. To gauge members’ interest in writing a paper and opinions about future society activities, an outline for a questionnaire was prepared that would be finalized in the next meeting. Ideas for the EU Society’s Instagram account were refined, and the executives agreed to regularly upload photos with interesting facts about EU member countries and short quizzes to keep the followers’ interest.
