Quiz Week about European Culture and History
On September 29th, the EU Society held its second meeting. This week's theme was European culture and history. Our president and Vice President, Vanessa and Zhenhui delivered in the style of a quiz session. Questions about European Union were asked. Questions like “which countries were the founding members of the EU?”, “what was the organization the Treaty of Rome created in 1957 called?”, “How many countries from the central and eastern Europe joined the EU in 2004?” were asked. Then, other members also asked their own questions about their own country and the other members answered. For example, questions about language, sports, national flower, government, etc. were asked. EU Society members discussed the culture and history of a particular European country, such as Romania, Spain, Serbia, or Germany. Everyone actively participated in answering questions and learned a lot about Europe.
