EU Centre held an academic essay contest for undergraduate and graduate students of Korea University. The contest received research papers about the EU or Europe. Many students showed their interest in and applied for this contest. The application opened in March and was closed at the end of June. On July 27th, the Centre awarded the three most outstanding works. The first prize went to the paper about the EU’s response to Covid-19 and its political and economic reasons. The paper well analyzed the Covid-19 crisis in comparison to the 2008 Eurozone crisis. The other two works wrote about the GDPR, the EU's data protection regulation, and the significance of the European Recovery Fund in managing the pandemic. Professor Park congratulated every student’s hard work and achievement, and everyone spent enjoyable moments at the award ceremony. All papers are available below.
