On July 15th, Professor Jae-Seung Lee invited John Bogaerts who is currently head of the political, press, and information section at the European Union delegation to the Republic of Korea. Mr. Bogaerts as a special lecturer delivered extensive issues related to the EU. He specifically mentioned the importance of the EU as a multilateral actor in military, economic, political, and diplomatic dimensions. The explanation on the European Green Deal, climate law, sustainable trade, CSDP missions, EU-UK relations, and Europe's strategic autonomy were continuously covered.

After his presentation, Mr. Bogaerts and the students exchanged intriguing questions on the special lecture topic. 

The students asked about his own conceptualization of the EU, the complexity of Russian gas, negative predictions on the post-Brexit situation, and the far-right's influence on the EU. Before the wrap-up, Mr. Bogaerts expressed his sincere gratitude to the students and Prof. Jae-Seung Lee for the invitation and active participation.
