In his final session, Professor Sae Won Chung dealt with the EU’s Digital Partnership Strategy. The EU’s global digital partnerships is active in African Union. The EU is trying to tackle the digital divide and foster a fair and responsible digital economy. Mainly, the EU and AU is working on the digital transformation in Africa to provide the digital cooperation platform. The EU gives the recommendations and help build the institutional/infrastructural basis of the digital world and by doing so, increase the influence of the EU in the area. The EU also launched the digital partnership with Japan and South Korea recently. The partnership with Singapore and ASEAN is expanding to various areas, for instance infrastructure, data governance, and digital trade regulations.
