For sessions 8 and 9, the EU centre invited prof. Sae Wong Chung from Pukyong National University as a guest lecturer. In session 8, prof. Chung lectured on the topic of Digital Diplomacy in the EU. His lecture consisted of three parts: the EU's digital diplomacy, the challenge of EU digital diplomacy, and lastly, the EU vs. disinformation. In the first part, the professor covered the basics of digital diplomacy: its definition, objective, and significance. Then, based on this explanation, the professor stressed the importance of digital diplomacy strategies for an impactful digital campaign.

In the next part, the professor covered disinformation, which posed a significant challenge in EU digital diplomacy. Additionally, as a solution to this problem, he proposed five counter-disinformation tactics for diplomats. They include ignoring, debunking, turning the tables, discrediting, and disrupting.

Finally, in the last part, prof. Chung explained the EU's responses to Covid-19, and most importantly, the union's effort to combat disinformation about Covid-19. He explained the possible harm this phenomenon could generate in the EU.
