‘The Economics of Regional Integration: The Case of the EU’ was the main topic of the seventh lecture of the KU Summer School, European Economics. The basic economics of regional integration and how it is applied in the European Union’s case was explicated in detail. The differences of trade-creating and trade-diverting customs union through specific examples had been lectured. The regional economic integration in Europe from trade to monetary was also explained. Moreover, there are major common economic policies in the EU, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and Common Commercial Policy (CCP).
