On May 19th to 20th, the Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence at Korea and EU Studies Association of Korea (EUSA-Korea) cohosted a Special Seminar on 25th Anniversary of ASEM: Evaluation and Korea’s External Strategy. The joint workshop invited several distinguished professors and experts on Europe to evaluate the works of ASEM and reflected on Korea’s strategy towards Asia-Europe Meeting. Professor Moon from Seoul National University and Professor Park from Korea University opened the workshop on the first day with a warm remark. Prof. Chai assessed the major regional corporations under ASEM process and Prof. Ha introduced key achievements of ASEM. Active discussions were followed after each session. Korea’s Strategy was the main topic of second day, and the discussion was moderated by Prof. Park. Professor Myunho Park from HUFS discussed of ASEM and Korea’s application, followed by insightful comments from discussants.
