Summary of the Presentation: Research Fellows_Diana Schnelle 

Diana Schnelle from Ruhr-University Bochum presented on "Connectivity and Marketcraft: EU-Japan Cooperation in Global Energy and Climate Governance." She explained the development of EU-Japan connectivity through a case study of the EU-Japan cooperation in the energy sector. She argued that a crucial building block for connectivity is the development of efficient and effective markets. She compared the EU-Japan marketcraft in the renewable energy and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) markets and attempts to assess its contribution to global energy and climate governance.
