In their research titled, The Role of EU as a Global Connectivity Leader in an Age of Geopolitics, Prof. Michalski and Prof. Parker address EU's evolving foreign policy role.

So far, EU has played a leading role in human rights, climate change, and free trade.

As EU becomes proactive, it will expand its leadership to areas including terrorism, poverty, and security. 

The research stresses EU's role as a norm-setter in vital policy areas.
