Dr. Yeo from Nanyang Tech University presented her research on ASEAN. The paper attempts to analyze ASEAN’s “actorness” and its responses to the connectivity agenda and challenges posed by the strategic challenges of rising tensions and competition between the US and China. Her research also examines the driving forces behind ASEAN’s connectivity agenda and how ASEAN can serve as a “connecting node” for the different connectivity agendas that came in the wake of the shift of narrative from the Asia-Pacific to Indo-Pacific.
