The Jean Monnet EU Center of Excellence receives academic papers on Europe-Asia connectivity for its Junior Research Fellowship Program. Duong Thi Thuy Mai (Ph.D. Candidate at Ruhr-University Bochum) was recognized for the research on "Connectivity, Cooperation and Conflict : The Case of the EU-China Civil Aviation Sector". The paper explores the interrelations between the aviation sector and EU-China connections in the areas of transport and trade, people-to-people connectivity, climate change and sustainable development. Furthermore, it tackles the question of how the EU-China connectivity in aviation sector can and should be facilitated.
