Co-oragnized with: Institute for Security & Development Policy (Sweden), Nordic-Benelux Center (Korea), Co-sponsored by Korea Foundation, Chey Institute for Advanced Studies (Korea)


On October 4, the KU Nordic-Benelux Center held one-day seminar with the ISDP Korea Center on the topic of how the Nordic countries and South Korea interrelate on issues of peace and sustainable development. The objective was to share information, lessons and perspectives that can be applied between the two regions and to respond to the increasing interest in Korea on the “Nordic model” of regional security and cooperation, social welfare, and sustainable development.

What are the threats and challenges undermining peace and stability? How developed are regional mechanisms and institutions for cooperation and dispute resolution?
