On 14th of June, His Excellency Mihai Ciompec, the ambassador of Romania to Republic of Korea, gave a special lecture entitled, "Priorities of Romanian Presidency in the European Council and the Future of Romanian-Korean Strategic Partnership".
He discussed the significance of Romanian presidency and the major challenges that the EU, and Romania as the president country of the European Council, had to face within the term of the Romanian presidency. He also emphasized the importance of the EU enlargement and its significance not only to the new Member States but also to the EU as a whole.
He also pointed out the long history between Korea and Romania and called for stronger academic ties between the two countries.
