On 19 April, The KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre hosted the NEAR Special Lecture on the European Union for High School Students from DukSung Girls' High School.

This lecture was designed for high school students (Duksung Girls’ High School) to promote basic understandings of the European Union. Professor Sung-Hoon Park first introduced the aim of this special lecture. Ms. Gawoon Yoon gave a brief introduction about the EU and presented a video about the history of the European Union.

Subsequently, the first speaker (Ms. Yujin Jung) presented about EU Member States, EU symbols, EU objectives, and EU current affairs and issues. Then, the second speaker (Ms. Su Min Park) presented about why the EU is significant for Korea by talking about the EU’s economic, political impacts and their possibility of relationship development in the future.
