​NCRE New Zealand, as part of Europe 2017 Lecture Series, invited H E. Fabrizio Marcelli (Italian Ambassador to New Zealand).  

His lecture topic is "EU irregular migration and the rise of populism, an Italian perspective." 

The Ambassador reflected on this current EU issue and how outlined the complexities surrounding refugee status, redistribution within Member States as well as the humanitarian challenges posed.
