-The EU’s regional policy was to provide LDCs with aids to influence

them, but this was not very fruitful.

-The EU has shifted from its past policy to support all developing

countries.

-The EU’s policy is analyzed as being international public goods rather than a hegemonic power.

-The EU’s stance has been a good partner of the UN in terms of

development cooperation and countering poverty.

-The EU’s approach has been influencing other development aid

providers such as US, Russia, China and Japan.
