-Brexit was chosen by UK citizens who want their sovereignty back from the EU. -In Bosman Case the CJEU announced that the FIFA’s football regulation violated the EU’s free movement rule of workers. -A Belgian Court alone would not have been able to hand down a judgement in the same way, since that would have led to sanctions applied to Belgian players by the FIFA. -The CJEU could decide like that, since the FIFA would not have been able to sanction players from all the 28 EU Member States. -Differently from the UK citizens expectation, being part of the EU enables citizens in a Member State to maintain their sovereignty. |
