-Refugees in the World are mainly hosted by non EU Member States such as Turkey, Lebanon, Pakistan, Iran and Ethiopea. -Rather than refugees, many people are internally displaced and they are not allowed to go back to their home lands. -Among the EU MSs, there are imbalances of burdens born by the MSs: Germany hosting many from Syria and not the UK, etc. -Foreign national residents in Japan has been gradually increasing for the past 3 years. -Japan is facing the problem of education of foreign national children, especially from the viewpoint of language. Japan should strategically learn lessons from the EU’s experiences as regards their integration into local communities. |
