On 20 February 2018, Prof. Richard Zapata Barrero (University of Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona) came to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to deliver a special lecture. The lecture’s topic was “Immigration, Multiculturalism and the Future of Europe”. He touched upon current immigrant-related problems and multiculturalism in Europe. He also stressed the difficulty of social integration, and predicted both social integration and issues of adjustment would determine the future challenges in the continent.
