-TPP11 will be put into force on 30 December 2018 and Japan-EU

EPA will on 1 February 2019.

-Japan-EU EPA is very important in the sense that it will contribute to countering the protectionist trends in the world, such as the Donald  Trump’s USA, etc.

-The degrees of trade liberalization by the Japan-EU EPA are quite

High, ex. state aids, etc.

-Investment chapter has been removed from the Japan-EU EPA texts,

but the negotiation concerning it has been going on.

-Even the American pressure for Japan to negotiate trade agreement

bilaterally will be influenced by this conclusion of the Japan-EU EPA.
