 | -Under the EU 2030 climate and energy framework, the EU's nationally determined contribution under the Paris Agreement is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40% by 2030 compared to 1990. -In November 2016, the EU Clean Energy for All Europeans Package was presented. -On June 2018 a political agreement on a binding energy efficiency target for the EU for 2030 of 32.5% was reached. In May 2018 new Energy Performance of Buildings Directive was passed. -In June 2018, a new framework for renewables was established (a new, binding, renewable energy target for the EU for 2030 of 32%). -In December 2018 a revised Renewable Energy Directive was passed. |
