KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre’s Journalist Traineeship Programme offered supplementary funding to Korean journalists visiting the EU for overseas traineeships. The aim of this programme is to encourage more Korean journalists to apply for overseas traineeships in the EU, to deepen Korean journalists’ understanding of the EU, and to bring more news on EU affairs to the Korean media in the long run. Under the programme, Mr. Chang Jae Lee, the journalist and the Department Head of Future & Vision Desk at SBS, visited the Netherlands from 21 to 26 September for his report on “Public Citizenship and Disaster Management in Netherlands.” This special report which covers EU policies was aired on SBS 8 News on 11 November 2014.
