On May 9th, after the Opening Ceremony of the KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre, we held an Inter-EUC meeting.

Moderator: Professor Sung-Hoon Park (Executive Director, KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre)

The meeting then has focused on the topic of “European Studies in the Asia-Pacific and the Role of EU Centres".

Professor Martin Holland, from the University of Canterbury, has provided his remarkable insight through decades of experience in the EU Centres. He expressed his concerns for the current status of EU studies in the academic world, while staying positive about the future. The collaboration and support, not only financial, he has argued, is the key to improve research and graduate school opportunities in the field, to promote a better understanding of the European entity.

This occasion has become a moment of mutual understanding not only among the Korean counterparts, but also to the international stage, preparing a competitive and outstanding platform for the future.
