고려대학교는 대외경제정책연구원(KIEP) 및 SBS와 함께 EU 본부로부터 EU Centre를 유치했습니다.

향후 유럽연합 집행위원회 및 주한 유럽연합 대표부의 지원으로 유럽연합과 관련된 교육, 장학, 학술연구, 컨퍼런스 및 다양한 홍보활동을 진행할 예정입니다. 아울러 고려대학교, KIEP, SBS의 세 컨소시엄 기관이 보유한 역량을 결합하여 한국과 유럽을 긴밀하게 연결하는 중심 허브가 될 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것입니다. 지난 4개월간의 준비 기간을 거쳐, 2014년 5월 1일 KU-KIEP-SBS EU센터는 공식적으로 출범하게 되었으며, 이에 센터 설립에 버팀목이 되어주신 여러 내외 인사들을 모시고 EU 센터 개소기념식을 다음과 같이 개최하였습니다.

It is our great honor and pleasure to inform you that Korea University, together with two consortium partners - Korea Institute Economic Policy (KIEP) and Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) - has launched a new EU Centre under the title of KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre on May 1, 2014. With the support of European Commission and Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, the KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre will host a series of academic, outreach and exchange programmes to increase the understanding of the EU and to build solid networks between Korea and the EU.

The Opening Ceremony was held in Room #214 (Auditorium), International Studies Hall, Korea University on May 9, 2014 from 14:00 to 16:00.

Many directors and presidents of several institutions and professors from other EU Centre in Korea came to celebrate the opening ceremony.
