KU-KIEP-SBS EU Centre’s Journalist Traineeship Programme offered supplementary funding to Korean journalists visiting the EU for overseas traineeships. The aim of this programme is to encourage more Korean journalists to apply for overseas traineeships in the EU, to deepen Korean journalists’ understanding of the EU, and to bring more news on EU affairs to the Korean media in the long run. Under the programme, Ms. Jiyoung Hong, senior reporter of SBS, exclusively covered the case of pension reform in France. Her report includes the interview with Professor Bruno Palier of Sciences Po, the expert on welfare reforms in Europe. This special report which covers EU policies was aired on SBS 8 News on 2 November 2015.
