길을 묻는 남자에게 매우 친절히 오랜 시간을 공을 들여 길을 알려주는 오레스테스. 그 장소에 대한 기억, 희망, 꿈에 대한 낭만적인 순간을 나눈다. 길을 잘못 알아 들었는지도 모른 채.

바스코는 불가리아 국가 영웅으로 불리는 흐리스토 보테프에 대해 의문을 던지는 에세이를 쓴다. 교장 선생님은 학생들 앞으로 바스코를 불러, 에세이 내용이 불쾌하다고 따진다. 하지만 바스코는 자신이 얘기하려던 것은 완전히 다른 이야기라고 설명한다.
