On May 4, we were honored to welcome Damir Kusen, the current Croatian ambassador to South Korea, 

at our EU Centre at Korea University. Professor Sunghoon Park, Mr. Ambassador Damir Kusen, 

Professor Sijung Lim of International Studies, and Dr. Seung-Hwan Yoon discussed ways for 

further cooperation, joint research, and information exchange between the embassy and the EU Centre.

The meeting lasted about an hour.

After a brief introduction of the EU Centre at Korea University, Professor Park and Mr. Ambassador Kusen 

exchanged views on common interests, including the current international situation surrounding the 

Covid-19 pandemic and the role of the educational/research institutions. Mr. Ambassador Kusen thanked 

the KU students for their interest and participation in the summer semester program at Rievka University 

in Croatia and expressed optimism for continued joint efforts to seek practical cooperation and academic exchange.
