Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Korea University and Nordic-Benelux Centre cohosted a special lecture on 'Cooperation and conflict in the Baltic Sea Region.' Lithuanian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Ricardas Sleparvicius had joined the lecture by Professor Dr. Mindaugas Jurkynas, who is a Jean Monnet Chair Professor and expert on the European Studies. Professor Jae-Seung Lee invited the lecturers to share their views and insights on current geopolitics in Central and Eastern European region. As Baltic states, Lithuania had gone through various crisis with other Baltic nations, Estonia and Latvia. The three nations work closely together on political and financial issues together, especially on defense. They emphasized on the solidarity and cooperation of the region that contributed to solving conflicts in the area for past three decades. Students from various backgrounds, including those from Baltic States had a lively discussion session.
