In the second EU Society session, the group had two presentations by Jinwoo Chon and Raoul Moroder. 

Presentation by Jinwoo Chon: "U.S., Türkiye, and EU: The NATO Framework"

Jinwoo Chon took the stage for our first presentation, delving into the intricate dynamics of Turkey's position in the world. She provided historical context and discussed Turkey's role in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Of particular interest was Turkey's purchase of an S-400 missile system and its impact on relations with NATO, the EU, and the U.S. The question of Turkey's future path hung in the air as we pondered its shifting alliances. The discussion began with a reflection on how the U.S.'s focus on the Asia-Pacific region might affect NATO and Turkish-EU relations. Many questions arose about Turkey's evolving political landscape and its unpredictable future.

Presentation by Raoul Moroder: "Made in Italy - Discovering Italy's Exporting Power"

Raoul Moroder then took the stage, offering a refreshing perspective on Italy's exporting prowess. He talked about Italy's surprising top exports, which included machinery and medicines. The group learned about the deep-rooted trade relations between Italy and South Korea dating back to 1884. The discussion centered on strategies to further enhance trade ties between these two nations. Students predicted the growth of luxury fashion, cosmetics, and wine exports to South Korea, given the burgeoning wine market there.

The second session was enriched by engaging discussions following each presentation. The future of Turkey and the evolving trade landscape between Italy and South Korea provided ample food for thought. After the discussion, all members gathered for a dinner, fostering connections among the EU Society community.
