In the fourth and last session under Professor Heung Chong Kim, macroeconomic environment of the EU was discussed on the basis of European Economic Forecast Spring 2024 report. The Professor explained how the report argues the EU economy is slowly emerging from a period of stagnation and is expected to see a gradual recovery through 2024 and 2025. Professor Kim highlighted that inflation us projected to continue falling, moving closer to central bank targets, while the labor market stays relatively strong with low unemployment, even as job growth slows.
