The sixth session focused on migration and refugees in Europe, with particular attention to the European Neighborhood Policy. Students were introduced to the historical context and underlying causes of migration, with detailed discussion of the 2015–16 refugee crisis, the influx of Ukrainian refugees, and recent migration trends. The session also highlighted key aspects such as major migration routes, EU refugee quota systems, and the EU facility for refugees in Turkey. Additionally, patterns and reasons for migration from countries including Hungary, Poland, Czechia, and Ukraine were examined. Overall, the session provided a nuanced understanding of migration dynamics and the policy challenges facing Europe.
