The Jean Monnet EU Center of Excellence at Korea University, in cooperation with KEY (Korea Europe & You) and partner institutions hosted the 2025 Sustainability Forum on April 17, 2025 under the theme “Sustainability and Global Disruption: Finance and Industry Responses”.

The forum brought together experts from finance, industry, academia, and public institutions to discuss responses to global disruption through sustainability and innovation. The forum was co-organized by the Jean Monnet EU Center of Excellence at Korea University and KEY (Korea Europe & You), with the support of European and Korean partner organizations.

The program featured two thematic sessions focusing on ESG compliance, energy transition, and sustainable finance. Session 1 examined tech-driven strategies for ESG compliance and explored challenges and solutions in navigating the energy transition. Session 2 focused on mobilizing capital for a sustainable future, highlighting the role of financial institutions and industry in financing energy transition initiatives. The forum concluded with closing remarks and a networking reception, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange views and strengthen cooperation on sustainability-related issues. The event contributed to ongoing dialogue on sustainable development and reinforced collaboration between Europe and Korea in addressing global sustainability challenges.
